Who Are We?

Little Mountain Church of Christ located in Winchester, TN strives to simply follow the New Testament pattern for the Lord's church.  We do not consider ourselves a denomination.  We are simply members of the church that Jesus established and bought with His own blood (Acts 20:28; Matthew 16:13-19).  The Church of Christ is not a denominational label, instead it is a description of who we are.  We are a part of the body of Christ.

The church at Little Mountain truly is family. We aim to love the Lord with every part of our being, and love others as ourselves.

We are made up of imperfect people who are doing our best to get to Heaven and take as many people with us as we can. We strive each day to walk in the light as He is in the light to ensure we have access to the soul saving blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7).

We hope to have the opportunity to get to know you, and share with you the blessings which come from being a child of God!

Our Beliefs

On Salvation:

We believe God has laid out a beautiful plan which calls all men to salvation. The plan of salvation involves two parts; God's part, and our part. God has already done His part in sending His Son (John 3:16). In order to receive the gift of salvation which God offers we must do our part, which is found in the Bible:

  • Exposure to the gospel message (Romans 10:17);

  • Belief in that message (John 3:16; Hebrews 11:6);

  • Confession of that belief (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:10);

  • Repentance of sin and turning fromt he sinful life (Luke 13:3-5; Acts 2:38 & 17:30);

  • Burial with Christ in baptism for the remission if sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38 Romans 6:3-4);

  • Remaining faithful to His cause (II Timothy 4:7-8; Revelation 2:10).

On worship:

God commands us to worship according to the precepts He has laid out in the New Testament. Here is what to expect when joining us at our worship assembly:

  • Acapella singing (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16)

  • Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17, 1 John 1:9, Philippians 4:6)

  • Lord's Supper Memorial (1 Corinthians 11:26, Acts 20:7)

  • Preaching from the Bible (Romans 10:13-14)

  • Giving of Our Means (2 Corinthians 9:7)
